Exam Pattern & Exam Schedule 2019 NTA
Aspirants must have basic information about JEE Main exam pattern and its syllabus for making better preparation. Candidates should know that there are two papers in JEE Main. Here, you can find important information regard JEE Main exam pattern including the number of questions, the subject covered, marking scheme and exam duration etc.
Common rule: 4 marks will be granted to the candidate for the correct answer, but any wrong answer will lead to a deduction of 1 mark.
JEE Main paper1 (for B.E., B.Tech):
There will be a total of 90 questions, 30 questions each from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
The paper will be of 3 hours.
It will be an objective type question paper.
Students can give the paper either via offline mode or online mode.
JEE Main paper2 (for B. Arch, B. Planning):
Paper will consist of two parts:
Part 1- 30 questions from mathematics
Part 2- 50 question from the Aptitude test
And 2 question in drawing
Only the drawing part will be subjective, but the rest of the paper will be objective type.
The paper will be of 3 hours.
The paper will be available in offline mode only.

January 2019 Exam
Online submission of application forms: September 1 to September 30, 2018
Dates of examination: January 6 to January 20, 2019 (8 different sittings, and candidate can choose any one)
Declaration of results: First week of February 2019
April 2019 Exam
Online submission of application forms: Second week of Feb 2019
Dates of examination: April 7 to April 21, 2019 (8 different sittings, and candidate can choose any one)
Declaration of results: First week of May 2019
